The right base depends on what you intend to do most often. If meals and short city outings are your priority, investigate accommodation close to the places you have selected. If several confirmed sessions at a club or studio are central to the trip, compare the daily journey to that venue. A property description saying central is not precise enough: put the exact entrance, your activity and the return point on the same map.

Ask for room facts that affect the stay

Write a short non-negotiable list before comparing photographs. It might include the number of beds, stairs, a private bathroom, working air-conditioning, a quiet room or a desk. Ask the property to confirm those details for the room category you are booking. A feature shown elsewhere in the building need not be available in your room. For longer stays, ask about cleaning, laundry, electricity and any deposit separately; avoid assuming that a monthly headline rate includes them.

Compare the whole cost

Use the same dates, guests and cancellation conditions for each quote. Add expected local journeys instead of comparing room prices alone. A cheaper room that requires repeated paid transfers may not be the cheaper base for your schedule. Record whether a charge is per room, per person or per night, and ask which currency is collected. Check arrival and departure arrangements

If your transport may arrive outside ordinary reception hours, agree on the handover in advance. Save the entrance address and contact details offline. These practical details can give you a usable final half-day without buying another room night or taking luggage to a workshop.

Book after the location works

For an arts visit, Phare publishes the location of its Battambang campus. KKB confirms its own meeting arrangements through the visit-request process.
