Phnom Penh: where to stay and how to enjoy Cambodia’s capital

For a first visit, the Royal Palace and Street 240 area puts several cultural stops within the same part of the city. The riverfront suits travellers who want the waterfront close by; inspect the exact street and room orientation because a river view and a quiet night are separate requirements. BKK1 is a useful alternative for people planning meetings, cafés and repeated short trips. A longer stay deserves a trial night or two before committing to an apartment. Test the journey you will actually make each day, rather than measuring everything from a tourist landmark.

A lodging shortlist with different purposes

Plantation Urban Resort & Spa has a garden and pool setting near the Royal Palace, while White Mansion on Street 240 offers rooms and suites.
