NagaWorld and Phnom Penh: a resort within the capital
Place NagaWorld in Phnom Penh’s visitor economy: hotel and event facilities, the operator’s licence statement and what it does not mean for the whole city.
UpdatedLicence dates and geographic exceptions are explicitly attributed to NagaCorp’s current corporate page, not an independent certification. Hotel prices, event schedules and visitor access are not assumed.

NagaCorp describes NagaWorld as an integrated hotel and entertainment complex. Its official overview identifies accommodation, dining, shopping and meeting facilities alongside gaming. This matters when comparing hotels: a conference stay, restaurant visit and casino visit are different activities. Check the exact tower, entrance and facility attached to a reservation instead of treating the resort as one interchangeable space. A venue may host several kinds of guests with different access conditions.
Read the licence statement accurately
In its company overview consulted on 4 October 2026, NagaCorp states that its casino licence runs to 2065 and its exclusive casino rights within a 200-kilometre radius of Phnom Penh run to 2045. The same statement names exceptions: the Cambodia–Vietnam border area, Bokor, Kirirom Mountains and Sihanoukville. These are the operator’s published descriptions of its rights, not a claim that every address within that radius permits gambling. The capital itself is not an offshore legal zone.
Questions for a hotel or event booking
Start with the ordinary travel questions: which room category, what is included, whether payment is refundable and where to meet a driver. For an event, ask about ticket collection, arrival time and whether children may enter the specific venue. A casino’s access restrictions should not be confused with a family’s ability to book a meal or hotel room; obtain confirmation for the particular facility. Keep any written answers with the booking so that another traveller in your group can find them.
Identity checks are part of the context
NagaCorp publishes information about customer due diligence and anti-money-laundering controls, including a review visit in January 2026. That is useful background when a visitor is asked to provide identification, but an operator’s compliance publication is not a personal guarantee about every transaction. Ask how identification will be handled and use an official reception or published contact channel. Do not send passport copies to an unsolicited social-media account claiming to represent the property.
Build a capital visit beyond the resort
Choose your daily route around the places you actually want to see, and allow for urban travel time instead of comparing hotels only by straight-line distance. A museum morning, a neighbourhood lunch and an evening performance produce a different stay from a conference schedule. Use Phnom Penh as one chapter of a wider Cambodia journey: Battambang offers a contrasting base for locally arranged sport and arts visits. InCambodia’s city coverage and casino-law overview address those different needs without presenting gambling as a reason to fund a holiday.
