First, put the stay in the right country

Pattaya and Jomtien are in Thailand, not Cambodia. This page exists because the earlier InCambodia site carried a Pattaya accommodation article and some readers still arrive through that address. It now provides a clear planning bridge rather than disguising Thai hotels as Cambodian properties. Choose the daily routine before the hotel

For a short Pattaya stay, decide whether the priority is dining, nightlife, training, a quieter room or time by the beach. Compare the exact location of a central Pattaya property with a Jomtien address and the journeys you expect to make. A low room price can be offset by repeated transfers. Look at the entrance and surroundings as well as photographs of the pool; the experience begins when you step outside.

Ask about the room you will receive

Confirm bed configuration, cooling, bathroom, noise exposure and whether a lift reaches the selected category. Families should check occupancy and child-related conditions for their own party. For a longer rental, ask about utilities, cleaning, deposits and the written handover. If training is central to your trip, compare practical travel to the gym and facilities for drying equipment rather than assuming that every holiday apartment suits a training routine.

Do not book around an assumed land transfer

Current Cambodia–Thailand border conditions need a separate check before committing to the journey. UK advice reviewed on 6 October 2026 reports suspended land crossings. An old Battambang–Pattaya story does not establish a usable route today. Compare confirmed options and cancellation conditions with the relevant providers, and leave time for the actual airport or station transfers. Accommodation availability cannot resolve an entry or border restriction.
